In 'The Ten Tigers,' a top-selling Chinese casino slot machine, players take on the role of Chinese Ten Tigers, a master in martial arts who is waiting for his niece, Mo'rin, to come home from school. Five years have passed since Mo returned home, and Tiger has become more protective of Mo'rin. He does not allow her to go outside the house. And when Mo'rin tries to visit another friend's house, Tiger lashes out in rage, refuses to let her enter, and pounces on her when she tries to get inside his house. When Mo'rin runs away from home, Tiger follows her and finds her at a abandoned house. There he attacks Mo'rin, but ultimately she runs to a cabin on a mountain and collapses on the floor. The next morning, Tiger's ex-girlfriend, Lin, comes to visit and sees Mo'rin lying on a bed inside the cabin, lifeless. When Lin goes to get help from a hospital, she realizes that it was actually Tiger who had been the one who had killed Mo'rin. With this knowledge, Lin decides that she is going to get away from Tiger, while at the same time trying to get ten tokens from the machine so that she can enter the machine to win the jackpot. However, the strength of Tiger's attack has grown compared to the strength of Lin's attempts to get the jackpot prize from the slot machine. With the help of an unseen crane operator, Lin manages to reach the top of the crane and opens the hatch. However, just as she is about to climb the ladder to enter the machine, a fire suddenly rams through the hatch and extinguishes the flames. Before she can react, Tiger jumps out from the machine and starts chasing after her. When she catches up to him, she hits him with a frying pan and he falls to the ground. Although Lin easily wins the game with her winning strategy, Tiger discovers that there are ten tigers hidden inside the machine. When he tries to open the device, he discovers that there is no entrance to it and that it is jammed. The game ends with Lin and Tiger locked in combat with the machine for control of the game's prize money. The second part of the plot involves Tiger looking for a way to access the prize money. At one point, he tries to climb over the fence by lifting a fence post with his weight. He succeeds in doing so, but when he is carrying the prize money on top of the pole, he slips and falls off the machine. Because of this, a security guard notices that there are illegal immigrants in the building. The security guard calls the police, who come in and arrest ten tigers that were found inside the building. Just before they leave, the syndicate leader decides to test the newly-installed metal detector. Using this device, he hopes to locate the location of the ten hidden targets. The detector does not pick up any results, so the group is alerted that there are illegal aliens in the building. With this information, they proceed to kick down the door of the building. Ten tigers appears again in 'Ten Tigers T2' as the game proceeds. When the syndicate leader is inspecting the rest of the factory, he sees a hole in one wall. Using his newly-found knowledge about the location of the ten targets, he plans to use the hole to find the machine that is giving him the winning edge in the game. Using his newly-acquired information, he hacks the computer at the back of the factory and gets lucky. He finds out that the other machines are connected. With this information, he hacks into the computer controlling all the other machines, and tells them where to place the winning tickets. With ten new machines and a winning streak, the syndicate wins the game. They split the prize money among the winning players. La Barra receives twenty dollars, while Beltra receives forty dollars. The winning streak ends at the end of the game, when the last machine in the row with the winning code is run. Beltra and La Barra walk away with the money, while La Barra's friend walks away with his bag of chips.
